DAL NATALE DI COLMAR ALLA FORESTA NERA

From the Christmas magic of Colmar to the Black Forest ✨🎄

In Alsazia è facile pensare già al Natale, mentre si passeggia tra castelli imperiali come quello di Haut-Kœnigsbourg in cima alla montagna da cui si osserva la Valle del Reno, o passeggiando tra borghi incantati lungo la Route des Vins come Turckheim, dove un guardiano fa la ronda ogni notte con la lanterna, o l’incantevole Colmar, tra i canali della Petite Venise dove si affacciano colorate case a graticcio piene di fiori.

Salutiamo l’Alsazia (con la promessa di tornare) e ci spostiamo nella Foresta Nera. A Gengenbach ci accoglie una casa nel bosco, tra cervi e daini (“mamma, c’è Bambi!”): sulle sponde del lago il nostro primo picnic in Germania, nel meraviglioso clima dell’estate tedesca.

In Alsace, it’s easy to start thinking about Christmas — even in the middle of a walk. Between imperial castles like Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, perched high above the Rhine Valley, and fairytale villages along the Alsace Wine Routelike Turckheim, where a night watchman still makes his rounds with a lantern, or the enchanting Colmar, with its canals of Petite Venise lined with colorful half-timbered houses bursting with flowers.

We say goodbye to Alsace (with a promise to return) and head into the Black Forest. In Gengenbach, we’re welcomed by a house in the woods, surrounded by deer (“Mum, it’s Bambi!”). By the lakeside, we enjoy our first picnic in Germany, embraced by the gentle beauty of a German summer.
